The beaches north and south are full of fascinating attractions. Some more suitable for water sports and radicals, ecotourism and others like as historical and cultural tourism.

East of Florianópolis

The east coast is the most popular for extreme sports. The high hills flies paragliders and hang-gliders. The dunes of Joaquina are the natural retreat of the practitioners of sandboarding and beaches Joaquina and Mole where usually occur the surf championships.

The east coast has waves good to professional surfing. Mole on the beach always has sound with DJs or live in seaside bars, that becomes a point of beautiful people.

The Lagoa da Conceição is prefered to practitioners of sailing, windsurfing and kite-surfing. Surrounding the pond is easy to see how Floripa is full of good food and hustle. The bars are the most central part of the lake, is the meeting point of younger. The Centrinho Lagoon is known for bars, restaurants, nightclubs, pubs and shops.

In Rendeiras Avenue of the said craft shopping with emphasis on bobbin lace. On Sundays, has Feirinha Lagoon bringing together artisans outdoors. Crochet clothes, home furnishings and mystics, souvenirs, cachaça, books and art hippie.

For those who enjoy boating and trails just follow towards Costa da Lagoa(Lake Coast). Access is only by boat or walking trail. In Costa’s waterfall, trails milder, typical restaurants, craft shops and an idyllic landscape.

The beach Galheta is reserved for practitioners of naturism and there is no type of establishment. It is not mandatory to be naked, so the curious can get comfortable.

Floripa by North

The northern, more populous in high season, has infrastructure more robust and offers attractions for all tastes, such as diving, hiking, schooner, banana boating, kayaking and dunes. The waters are warmer and calm which attracts more swimmers. For children, the calm sea of Jurerê, Daniela, Canasvieiras, Cachoeira do Bom Jesus, Ponta das Canas and Lagoinha.

Jurere the neighborhood is located on the left side of the beach Jurerê, the preferred point of VIPs and artists. It has several nightclubs internationally. Beautiful people and celebrities to those who enjoy a side bon vivant.

The British beaches, Praia Brava and Santinho entice surfers with good waves. The resort Costão do Santinho is quite sought after by tourists throughout the year.

In Cacupe, Sambaqui and Praia do Forte are typical restaurants with oysters, fresh clams and Azorean architecture.

For those who like history has the community of Santo Antônio de Lisboa and the strongholds, reminiscent of the Portuguese in the eighteenth century. A schooner tour around these parts historical fortresses is a good program.
